Total Awesomeness
This is the story of Abby, Bianca (usually called Bee) and Caitlin. They've been friends since what feels like ever and they're just about to start Year 6 at the little school in their tiny town, where they are the only girls in the class. (Yes, it's like that in some schools!) Abby is the leader of their group and she decides that this is going to be the year of Total Awesomeness for them. They'll be school leaders, they'll get to go on camp, they'll take a starring role in the multi-school choir festival and, most importantly, they'll be best friends forever.
But then Sascha arrives in town, and straight away Abby knows that she is the wrong kind of girl for her group. For a start, she's wearing mascara, and she looks bored at everything. She laughs at choir practice and talks long and loud about her cool friends back where she came from. Abby gives Sascha the cold shoulder and doesn't include her in the group. "She obviously just doesn't fit in," she tells the others. But she doesn't realise that not only does Sascha not like being left out, Bee and Caitlin actually think Sascha's interesting and pretty cool. Pretty quickly Abby finds herself on the outer with her former best friends, and on the receiving end of Sascha's mean streak.
When Abby finds herself booked in to a different high school from her friends, she feels like she's lost everything. She's Miss Unpopular and her year of Total Awesomeness is a joke. Can she find her way back in to her group? Does she even want to? And how can she salvage everything she's lost?
